St Dominic Pilgrimage

France, Spain and Italy – October 2026

Sometimes heaven and happiness feel very far away, almost unreachable, especially when we are tied up in the rush and routine of home life. Pilgrimage provides a microcosm experience of our life’s journey with Christ, and strengthens us with the companionship of the saints who have trodden the same path.
This pilgrimage will lead us from the Guzman family home in Spain to the Eternal City of Rome. Along the way, we will meet Blessed Jane, whose trust in God guided her journey from being childless in a difficult marriage to eventually seeing her three sons all devote their lives to God.
We will pray with the monks of Santo Domingo de Silos, whose world-famous Gregorian chant lifts hearts to heaven and restores hope in God’s promises.
We will walk in the footsteps of St. Dominic, whose friendship with Jesus led him from the security of study and work into a life of surrender and trust, taking one step at a time with the Holy Spirit in response to the needs of those around him.
We will visit the nuns of Prouille, who carry the anxieties and sorrows of the world in the innermost shrine of their compassion.
We will encounter St. Catherine of Siena, who shows us how love for God can equip us to transform our culture, politics and society.
And ultimately, we will come to the shrines of St Peter and his successors, and recommit ourselves to the rock-solid foundation of our faith in Christ and his Church.
Every step along the way, we will carry our loved ones and all our special intentions, and entrust them to God’s loving and providential care, until we return home with fresh vision and new hearts, ready to take up our own call to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
