Tenebrae

WHAT IS TENEBRAE?

This special service, which means ‘Shadows’, is conducted in near-darkness as we anticipate the desolation which God’s people will experience at the Death of the Beloved Son of God.

As we sing the prophecies of Jeremiah, candles are put out one by one, until one is left – Christ’s Light.

It is a Light that darkness cannot overcome.

Join us for Tenebrae on Holy Thursday after the 7:30pm Mass.
